Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Application Development, role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of organizational information systems and software applications. The Application Development Manager is also responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing systems and applications. This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide his/her development team on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission critical information and software systems.

Key responsibilities
- Manages a team of developers responsible for the organization's applications
development function. (8-10)
- Participates in Agile development process, coaching the team to be self-organized and managed.
- Provides expertise in Microsoft technologies: Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint /
SharePoint Online, TFS / TFTS, C#.NET, and Microsoft Azure.
- Evaluates existing applications to determine technical changes, schedules projects and resources, and monitors project timelines.
- Defines architectural patterns for use by the team. Sets and implements policies and
procedures related to application quality standards and testing.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of
creativity and latitude is required.
- Ensure effective staff training programs are in place to increase security awareness
- Shifts the organization to a DevOps mindset: continuous integration and deployment.
- Reports to the Chief Technology Officer.

Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field; a master's degree preferred. At least seven to 10 years’ experience with information technology is also needed. Additionally, strong communication and organizational skills are required. An advanced understanding of IT systems and computer programming is required for this position.
